Over the past few decades I have spent a majority of my time trying to find a place in the food world. Working in high end restaurants, private cheffing, wellness consulting and working through my own dietary needs/allergies to cultivate a joyful existence. Through experimentation I learned having rituals and practices around food that align with my belief systems is what helped me to maintain a healthy and balanced life.
My connection with food was reared at a young age by virtue of travel and experiencing different cultures through their ancestral cuisine. As I saw people from other parts of the world connect with their food on an inherent level it cultivated my interest in the importance of connecting to the source. The more time I spent in the culinary world my inspiration to seek the culture became enlivened when I started connecting with the people growing my food, raising the animals I was eating and the fish I consume. The closer I got to the source the closer my relationship to the earth, to my creativity and to myself came into focus.
